Whoops, no need for Curtis to send this, as I accidentally CC’d the list anyway! A link to the 1/16 event is on our CBC web site schedule, but see the other links in Curtis’s note if you’re interested in the Utah clinics.

>> Hi All,
>> We have two kid’s clinics confirmed for January to be coached by Laurie Humbert, former US Biathlon Team Member and Olympian. The first is Jan 9th this coming Saturday. The second is Jan 30th also a Saturday. Both will start at 1:00 PM. We will meet at the range at SoHo. Cost is $20 for each clinic. This includes coaching, ammunition and use of the Utah Biathlon Club rifles. Participants can bring a check made out to Utah Biathlon Club or cash to pay for the clinic. Participants will also need to purchase a Day Pass for the SoHo track and Day Pass for the range at the SoHo Lodge if they don’t have a season pass for both. The passes for the track and range are $10 a piece. Season pass for the track and range is $175.
>> Minimum age for participants is 10 years. We will be using .22 caliber rifles. All levels of skiing ability are ok except first timers. The focus of the clinics will be mainly on shooting with some input where skiing is involved. Kids can use either classic or skate skis. The philosophy of the clinics will be to introduce the sport of Biathlon to those with no experience and to help current Biathletes improve their skills.
>> We also have two races scheduled in January. The first is January 16th the second is January 31st. The one on the 31stwill be just for Juniors, Youth and Kids, no adults. Both races will have Novice divisions. No previous Biathlon experience is necessary for the Novice races. There will be clinics held prior to the races for Novices. The January 16thNovice clinic will be the day of the race. The January 31st Novice clinic will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday the 30th. Here are links to registration:
