Despite the warmer weather, the skiing has been very good--skiing on race skis until earlier this week. I skate-skied all 12km of trails yesterday morning, but our snowmobile groomer is in the shop, so haven't been able to groom in the new snow yet.

The Public Grand Opening is proposed for Saturday, Jan 16th (we've been skiing and grooming non-stop since before Thanksgiving, but delayed grand opening while working out the grooming kinks, putting up signage, etc.). I'll send out another email to confirm that date after we get the snowmobile back up and running.

Hope to have it back up and re-groomed before the end of the weekend. We've gotten several new inches of snow (with more predicted) so it would be best for classic right now (or deep powder skate skiing), and anyone can ski there for a $15 daily trail pass--but perhaps not worth the cost being ungroomed and all right now....)

I had become very excited to hear about the track down in Monument. I realize we’ve lost quite a bit of snow over the past month, but started thinking about it again after this morning’s commute. Any word?
