Location: Legett Building
Logistics:
-
Print and bring the waiver form if
you did not mail one to Julia Collins. I will have some extras if you
forget or can't print one yourself. Please bring exact change if you are
bringing cash and did not pay online. Checks should be made out to
"Colorado Biathlon Club" or "CBC."
- What else to bring:
- Are you 15 years old or younger? Bring a parent or other adult. You will be
required to have one with you!
- Pen/pencil and notebook
- Whatever you need to sit comfortably for 2+ hours (food, beverage,
etc).
- Lunch and snacks--there is a snack bar at the Nordic Center.
- Nordic ski gear to ski from the Nordic Center to the range.
- Biathlon rifle if you have one. Maximum magazine size is five rounds
(single loading is fine). Only standard velocity
ammunition is allowed. We have extra if you need it.
- Warm clothing and a backpack to carry it to the range. You will be
standing around at the range. It may be cold out
there. You will want lighter clothing to wear while actually skiing to and
from the range. Note: There are no toilet facilities at the
range!
- Thin gloves for actually shooting and warm gloves or mittens for

The schedule for the day:
-
0900 - 0930: Check in.
Location still to be confirmed.
- 9:30-12:00: Classroom instruction.
- 12:00: Classroom portion ends.
Proceed to the Nordic Center, purchase a
trail pass, and get ready to ski.
One hour is actually not that long for getting to the Nordic Center and
then the range, so you should plan to bring lunch with you and go straight
from the classroom to the range with only a short period of time for lunch
and changing into ski gear.
- 1:00: Meet at the range for the practical portion of the
course.
- 3:00: Course completion and range cleanup.
