Note: all ages referenced below are as of December 31 of the competition year, which runs from July 1 to June 30.

For competitors age 15 and older, CBC attempts to follow the IBU competition specifications for U17 and U19 Men and Women (formerly IBU Youth I and Youth II Men and Women, age 15-18), U21 Men and Women (formerly Junior Men and Women, age 19-20), and Men and Women (age 21 and older). For additional details, refer to the IBU "Event and Competition Rules" on the IBU web site.

For competitors under the age of 15, CBC follows guidelines modified from those published by USBA with adjustments for local circumstances. Additionally, CBC applies some local rules for .22 use as noted on the linked PDF.

CBC Masters competitions follow the USBA Masters Guidelines.
