General Event Logistics
-
All participants must either be current USBA members or must pay a
$10/day for a one-day membership. This change is necessary to maintain
our event insurance.
-
You must have proof of attendance at a USBA Safety
Certification clinic (e.g. "Red Book") in order to use a .22 rifle in a
CBC winter event.
-
Pre-registration is required for ALL competitors.
COVID-19 Concerns
We have adjusted our race-day procedures to accomodate Grand County
group size and behavior requirements in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The updated guidelines below will be in force for at least the first two
events of our 2020-2021 season, and then reviewed and modified as circumstances dictate.
-
Pre-registration will close two days before each event.
Start lists with wave assignments, bib numbers, and assigned zero and shooting lanes
will be posted to the web page the day prior to the event.
-
No club rifles will be available (either pellet or .22). Club
scopes will not be available. Racers must come with their own rifle
(pellet or .22) and scope.
-
The warming hut will be off limits to everyone except race staff. Bring warm clothes!
-
Face coverings must be worn to cover your mouth and nose at all times except when
on the mat while zeroing and during the competition.
-
Races will run in two waves, with each wave having a maximum of 14 .22
shooters and two pellet shooters.
-
The race-day schedule will be re-structured as follows:
-
9:00-9:15: Wave one arrives with signed waivers in hand ready for bib
pick up (unless we have a fancy on-line waiver option by then).
-
9:15-9:30: Wave one-self zero.
-
9:40: Wave one start. NB, no more racer meeting; courses and format
details will be emailed and posted prior to each event.
-
10:40: Wave one cut-off time. All wave one racers depart.
-
10:45-11:00: Wave two racers arrive, with signed waivers in hand.
-
11:00-11:15: Wave two racers self-zero
-
11:25: Wave two starts
-
12:25: Wave two cut-off time
-
12:30 Wave two racers depart.
-
Trail pass handling, parking, and trails designated for range access are all TBD.
